Chanukah Day!

It was great to see the children’s excited faces today as they arrived at school to celebrate Chanukah Day! The children enjoyed being fully immersed in the Chanukah celebrations and were immediately involved in an exceptional musical storytelling performance from ‘Ilana Banana’ in the assembly this morning!

All children were enthralled with the puppet show imaginatively brought to life by Amy Taylor of PJ Library, a company that gifts high-quality Jewish books to families. The show was a fun and memorable way for the children to learn about Chanukah, the Jewish Festival of Lights.

In class the children played games with dreidels, made some artistic creations, took part in science experiments, and tasted delicious donuts.

During lunchtime the children were amazed to see a life-sized dreidel character in the playground which they enjoyed asking questions to! At the end of the day the children were treated to a lovely goody bag and delicious homemade Latkes.

A massive THANK YOU to the amazing GPA and all the parents who have given their time, ideas and knowledge to make Chanukah Day an enormous success!
