A fantastic and creative week in Reception, with a focus on bonfire night and Remembrance Day. We taught the children a variety of techniques including printing and melting chocolate! The children brought in so many wonderful fireworks pictures they had made at home and it was wonderful to listen to them describing how they chose to make their pictures. The highlight of the week was perhaps the edible sparklers we made by melting chocolate and dipping into sprinkles.
After our visit from the bus last week and the discovery of the crown jewels, the children looked at some London landmarks to try to think where they might have come from. They did some fantastic drawings and were pleased to tell us about their own experiences and visits to London.
