Year 2 had an incredible school trip into London on Thursday! The excitement was building all week as we prepared for our outing and for some children, it was their first school trip due to the current situation. The children behaved impeccably and were a credit to Grimsdell and their parents. We travelled in two coaches to the London Eye and on the way, we had a tour of some superb London Landmarks along the way! One of the coach drivers gave Ms Moir a new job as a tour guide as she used the microphone to direct the children’s attention to important buildings on our route. It was a very funny journey!
Once we arrived the children were hungry and wanted lunch at 10.45! We gave them a biscuit and started queuing for the London Eye. We were sped through as VIPs and within no time at all, each class was nice and cosy in their own pod. The weather was beautiful and the sun was shining – we could not have asked for a nicer day. We had a crystal clear view of London and had great fun spotting all of London’s stunning landmarks.
Finally, after we disembarked our pods we sat eating our lunch whilst gazing at the marvellous London Eye. It truly is a marvel to behold!
