This Week in PE!

The children in Year 2 have been using a six-sided rubber ball (reaction ball) during their PE lessons this week. Reaction balls are designed to be unpredictable when dropped or thrown and used for hand-eye coordination and agility training across a wide variety of sports.

They took part in different drills and, at the end of the session the played ‘REACT’, a two-player game with a tossing area marked on the wall. Player A stands behind player B with a reaction ball. Player A tosses the ball underhand at the wall making sure to hit the tossing area. Player A must react to the ball coming off the wall and catch it before a second bounce! After 5 tosses players A and B switch positions.

Great fun!
