Boarding Activites

“Firstly, to all of our families who celebrate the Lunar New Year, Kung Hei Fat Choi and Xin Nian Kwai Le!

We have celebrated the Year of the Tiger this week with Chinese lunches at School, the making of dumplings in cookery classes and in our boarding houses (which were delicious!), and this Saturday we will be taking a trip to Bang Bang Food Hall in Colindale. While many of our Chinese community have not managed to be home for a long time due to the pandemic, we have enjoyed celebrating this major cultural occasion together.

Last weekend, we had a very successful trip to the Alexandra Palace Ice Rink, around 20 minutes from school. It was great to see so many pupils getting involved in this trip, and also to see some more experienced skaters supporting (literally!) boarders who have never skated before.

The form for trips after half term is now out, and as the weather improves and spring arrives, we are looking forward to trips to an Escape Room, bowling, to House Trips, a Singalong Greatest Showman at Leicester Square’s Prince Charles Cinema, and a trip into Camden Town Market. We are so lucky to be so close to London, and I would encourage every boarder to take every opportunity to go on these trips.”
