Miss Zamora – Our Reprographics Pro

Meet Miss Zamora, Central Reprographics, Stationery and Postage Operative here at Mill Hill School. We spoke to her to find out a bit more about her and her role here at Mill Hill School.

How long have you worked at Mill Hill School?

Though I have only been working at Mill Hill School for 8 months, a relatively short amount of time, somehow, it feels like I have always worked here!

What does your role involve?

I run the Reprographics Room and I am a team of one! I print everything that the school needs: teaching materials, exam papers, posters, and more! I also manage the stationery storage room. Everybody at Mill Hill School seems to love stationery!

What is your favourite thing at Mill Hill School?

I love the community feel at Mill Hill School; I am incredibly lucky to work in a place where everyone looks after one another. We all go the extra mile to provide pupils with the best education possible, which is also incredibly special. Lastly, the food here is delicious!

Do you have any advice for our pupils which could help them to get the most out of their time at Mill Hill School?

Mill Hill is a very stimulating school. It provides pupils with the perfect environment to thrive and excel, so go for it and get involved in all the opportunities on offer!

Can you tell us something that we might not know about you?

I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Translation at ‘The Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of Granada.’ I feel extremely fortunate to have studied there because the school is regarded as one of the top academic institutions for translation and interpreting studies in Spain. I also used to sing in a band called “Les DEGlingos” (“The Shambolics!”).

What is your favourite book and why?

My favourite book is ‘The Little Prince’ by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I like it because the book reminds us to always be open-minded.

Finally, could you share an inspirational quote with us? How does it inspire you?

“Whatever you are, be a good one” by Abraham Lincoln. This quote teaches us that whatever you do in life you should do it with as much passion as possible.
