The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a world-renowned examination frequently required by UK Universities for overseas pupils as a condition of entry, alongside A levels. The English as an Additional Language Department (EAL) at Mill Hill School prepares our overseas pupils in the L6th for this exam.
This year, IELTS results so far have surpassed even our usual high standards and we are very proud of all our pupils, who, along with studying for their 3 A-levels have this additional demand. It is a testament to their work ethic and resilience that they have achieved such outstanding results.
Well done to Sisi (Collinson), Abbie (McClure), Matvei (Ridgeway) and Alireza (Collinson) for achieving band 8 or higher!
According to the official IELTS website, in 2019 only 3% achieved band 8, 1% achieved 8.5 and 1% achieved 9 internationally.
