Jubilee Tea Party

On Wednesday 8th June, Grimsdell School was thrilled to host a Jubilee Tea Party for the local, elderly members of The Puddenecks Charity.

Amongst other treats the guests enjoyed beautiful music produced by an extremely proficient quartet from Mill Hill School, and Year 2 performed a song and hand jive; it was good to see the audience join in with the actions! To add to the fun Miss Gale demonstrated her talent of ‘Bingo Caller’ and made our game of Jubilee Bingo quite unique!

Delicious cakes, baked by Maggie, were served by the Playground Buddies, House Captains and Year 2 School Councillors. Appreciation of the delightful food was shown by the guest’s consumption of second and third helpings!

It was lovely to observe the children chatting happily with our visitors, and at the conclusion of the Tea Party many positive comments were made on how polite, well behaved and friendly the children of Grimsdell School were. It had been a wonderful afternoon with young and old sharing a most happy time together.
