Parents’ Day was a bright and summery day. The day started off with a prize-giving ceremony held at Mill Hill School. It was lovely to bring our Belmont community together and celebrate the achievements of our pupils. Congratulations to the prize winners and other Belmont pupils. All our Belmontians should be extremely proud of what they have achieved this year.
Floyd Steadman handed out the prizes and gave an inspirational talk. Floyd is a former Deputy Head of Belmont, has been a Head of four preparatory schools and is ex-captain of an extraordinarily successful Saracens Rugby team. The audience left Floyd’s talk feeling very inspired by his story and attributes.
We also said goodbye to a number of staff leavers at the ceremony. It was fantastic to thank all the leavers for their contribution to our school and wish them well for the future. Finally, we said farewell to our Year 8 leavers. They have been a wonderful cohort. We are certain that they will thrive in the next stage of their educational journey.
We then moved to the Master’s Lawn at Belmont Preparatory school to enjoy a fantastic Garden Party. Our catering team cooked a delicious selection of food including hotdogs, burgers, and vegetarian options along with cheese, meats and salads. Our pupils especially enjoyed the dessert bar, which was stocked with brownies, cakes, and strawberries! Thank you to our catering team for providing us with amazing food.
Parents’ Day was a marvellous way to round off the academic year. We hope everyone has a magnificent summer. We look forward to seeing our pupils and parents at the start of September.
