Reception Dodgeball!
This week the Reception children learnt how to play a variation of dodgeball called Swiss Dodge Ball. This is not a team’s dodgeball game. Everyone started out against the wall with the teacher standing in the middle with a big swiss-ball. The teacher called out different instructions. For example: ‘those children wearing white trainers run to the other end of the hall’. When the pupils wearing white trainers started to move in that direction, the teacher had to roll the ball across the hall. If the ball made contact with a child, they then had to miss a turn.
All children loved this game! Especially when the teacher started with some funny instructions such as ‘if you have 5 noses run!’
