Pupils Lead a Diwali Assembly!

We were extremely lucky to receive an amazing assembly on Diwali led by: Uma (7 AC), Roshan (8 SM), and Laksh (8 LM). They educated us on the history and traditions of Diwali. Their insightfulness and passion left everyone feeling inspired.

Diwali is the biggest and most important festival in India and is dedicated to Lord Rama. The festivities last five days, beginning this year with Dhanteras on 22 October and ending with Bhai Dooj on 26 October. Diwali will be celebrated on the third day, 24 October. The celebrations often include wearing fine clothes, illuminating the interior and exterior of homes, performing worship ceremonies, lighting fireworks, having family feasts, and sharing gifts.

We hope all those celebrating Diwali enjoy the festivities!
