This week the children created portraits of themselves. They carefully looked at themselves in the mirror, created the correct colour for their skin, eyes and hair and painted a wonderful portrait. We were all incredibly proud of their creations and so were they.
In maths the children have been thinking about comparison this half term, the children have been noticing the differences and similarities between objects. This week they independently sorted the vehicles by colour and the teddy bears by size.
The children have been continuing to work on their fine motor and gross motor development. They were threading beads and cheerios onto pipe cleaners to make necklaces and bracelets. They have also been using mallets to smash the cheerios. The children loved this activity and remembered the rules about how to use them safely.
The children were incredibly lucky to have a Musical Dots workshop this week. The children were introduced to the dots and joined in with their songs.
