The Spanish Department took our A Level pupils to the British Film Institute in Southbank. They took part in a study day about Almodóvar and his films. The lecture was led by Professor Sarah Wright (University of London) and Dr Miguel García (University of Bristol).
The pupils were immersed in Almodóvar’s universe and enjoyed the screening of Volver (2006). The pupils are currently studying the film as a part of their course and will explore it more in future lessons so it was great for them to see it on the big screen.
