Anti-Bullying Week 2022: Pupils Write Upstander Pledges

“The theme of Anti-Bullying Week 2022 was ‘Reach Out’. This week we reminded ourselves of the importance of talking to others if we are having a challenging time, the ways in which we can support ourselves and others by checking in, and knowing how and where to get support from in the Mill Hill School community.

Throughout the week in PSHE lessons pupils have heard the lived experiences of others and reflected on what we can all do to support each other. Pupils have made pledges in their PSHE lessons on what it means to be an upstander and the importance of such actions in another person’s life. An upstander is a person who seeks to help or support someone who is being bullied. These pledges have been displayed on the pupil voice boards in the Octagon to remind us of our responsibilities.”
