This afternoon, Year 5 were privileged to welcome the guest speaker of Ms Nicholl into School to speak to them about her career in journalism, which links with their English witing topic of Newspapers.
She spoke about her path into reporting and working for various newspapers, reporting around the world in interesting countries, such as Bhutan, where she felt very honoured to see how the local people conduct their lives. Ms Nicholl has also attended key events, meeting a great number of amazing people along the way, such as Prince Harry who inspired her into becoming a Royal Correspondent. She also recently had the honour of reporting on Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.
It was inspiring session for all the pupils.
