Belmont Ski Trip to Les Menuires

On Tuesday 13 December, 70 pupils departed for the annual School Ski Trip – the first time we’ve been able to take this trip since 2019! This year, we visited Les Menuires, France and, despite what you may have read in the news this week, we were blessed with a huge dump of snow, so it was set to be a great week of skiing! Throughout the week, the children took part in a vigorous ski school programme and, whether it was their first time on the slopes or whether they’d been many times before, all pupils made excellent progress.

The evenings were just as jam-packed as the days. The pupils took part in various evening activities such as visiting the local creperie, trying the famous Alpine  hot chocolates, building their teachers out of snow (congratulations to Mr Fannon for his victory here!)  and watching France during World Cup Final, with some very tense locals.

The children faced many new challenges during the week, and they all met them with resilience, maturity and independence, whilst embracing our School values at all times. All the teachers were very proud of how they conducted themselves.

Thank you to Mrs Berry, Miss Desai, Mr Fannon, Miss Hockley, Miss List, Miss Khimani, Mr Matthews, Ms Scanlan and Mrs Smith for giving up their time to support this trip.
