The long-awaited Service of Nine Lessons and Carols, back at home in our own Chapel, took place yesterday. The Chapel looked stunning in the candlelight, bedecked in tinsel and holly.
The mood was set instantly with a performance by one of our string ensembles playing Christmas carols as the congregation entered. I was thrilled to welcome back the Reverend Dr Richard Warden as our guest Chaplain for the evening, who led the service beautifully and enjoyed singing with the choir again. The choir, as expected, was glorious.
My thanks to all the choristers, instrumentalists, readers, Common Room staff, support staff, parents, and guests for their huge contribution to such a fantastic evening.
