The Spanish Department took the A Level pupils to the British Film Institute in Southbank on 22 November. They took part in a study day about Almodóvar and his films. The lecture was led by Prof. Sarah Wright (University of London) and Dr Miguel García (University of Bristol). The pupils were immersed in Almodóvar’s universe and enjoyed the screening of Volver (2006). They are currently studying the film as part of their course and will explore it more in future lessons so it was great for them to it on the big screen.
