This week in PE…

The children in year 1 and year 2 have been looking at rolling skills for gymnastics.

They started by rocking their bodies in different directions and learning how to control them.

They practised a wide variety of rolling techniques and progressions from pencil/log roll; egg/tuck roll; dish/arched Back Roll and straddle/teddy bear roll which are the steppingstones to more complex rolls such as forward roll and backward roll.
