Our Mental Health and Wellbeing Summit: Copthall School X Mill Hill has been very interesting so far. The Well HQ visited us and delivered an excellent programme of lectures to pupils and staff. Well HQ is an organisation which equips women with information about their bodies to help make their lives fitter, healthier and happier.
Belmont, Mill Hill School and Copthall School pupils enjoyed a ‘Sport in her Shoes’ session with Dr Emma Ross. Here, pupils learnt about working with their bodies and not against them to enhance performance both on the sports field and in the gym. Staff also heard talks on various topics, such as managing sports injuries and the menopause.
Iain Mahoney from The Mclellan Practice also gave a talk about the dangers of addiction, its causes and consequences. Iain never thought that drug addiction would affect him, and he wants to share his story to help inform others of the impact it can have. The session was insightful and left pupils with plenty to think about.
Thanks go to our amazing speakers.
