The boys had a thoroughly enjoyable hockey season this year. It was great to see so many newcomers to the sport, and familiar faces from last season moving up the age groups.
One of the season’s highlights was taking three of our teams to the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre, where the 2012 Olympic Games were held.
Another highlight was seeing the U18 Indoor Team play against the top indoor team in the country. Although our team did not make it to the finals, it was an excellent experience for all involved. We are excited to see how far the team can go next year!
The 1st XI finished the season with a fantastic win vs The John Lyon School.
Seeing improvement in the U14 and U15 squads throughout the season was also fantastic. The staff involved were delighted with the pupils’ attitude and effort during training sessions and matches. Mixed hockey was also a success, and we hope to play a couple more matches for all age groups next term.
