We took part in the Kapla workshop, which was great fun and a chance for us to work on a whole school structure. The children listened very well and had to move around with great care so they could build without knocking over any other parts. The Year 1 children all worked really hard and with great concentration. The finished building was amazing!
In Literacy this week we have been reading the book ‘We’re off to look for Aliens’ By Colin McNaughton. The story is full of rhyming words and so whilst listening to the story the children put up their thumbs every time they thought they heard a rhyming word. We then made lists of rhyming words and then used these words to make our own rhyming couplets.
