Eco Week 2023

Eco Week was wonderful, we held a series of events to celebrate and learn about the conservation of our local area. Remove pupils were asked to build bird feeders out of coconut shells during tutor time. They were also invited to use bird identification cards to learn about local birds and how to recognise them.

Members of the Eco Society spoke about the different ways to protect our local environment and encouraged everyone to participate in the ‘No Mow May’ campaign and avoid mowing their lawns in May, which is a crucial month for pollinators.

Pupils had the opportunity to gain points for their house by litter-picking and the Mill Hill Eco Society met with the other eco societies at Grimsdell and Belmont to walk around the grounds and attach bird feeders onto trees.
