Pupils Compete for Tim Phillips Shield!

We were blessed with perfect weather conditions yesterday as our Senior Tennis players competed for the Boys and Girls Tim Phillips Shield on the Mill Hill courts. The competition, named after Old Millhillian (OM), Tim Phillips, former President of the All England Club is now in its 10th year of running.

In both events there were some closely fought rallies and tactical points, all games being played with true sportsmanship spirit. In the Boys event, the flair, talent and power of Tennis Captain, Kim S (Murray House) shone through, with Kim beating Adam E (Cedars House) in the final. In the Girls event, a new arrival to the School this year, India S (Winfield House) with her consistent gameplay beat Gabby K (Priestley House). Both Kim and India were presented with the Shield which will now be engraved with their names and the winners and runners-up received glass trophies.

Well done to all who competed – a perfect afternoon of Tennis at Mill Hill!
