It was a pleasure to welcome back representatives from the Amy Winehouse Foundation. The Amy Winehouse Foundation works with young people to help build their self-esteem and resilience. The team delivered impactful speeches about the struggles surrounding drugs, self-esteem and resilience to our pupils.
We welcomed three speakers, who talked about how drug use impacted or changed their lives. They also spoke about how they have worked through their struggles to become healthier versions of themselves.
One of the speakers, Joe, spoke about his background, family life and what led him to unhealthy choices. He discussed the importance of talking about your feelings to someone you trust and how this simple first step helped him improve his life.
