Author’s Visit for Years 5 and 6

We were thrilled to welcome Phil Earle to Belmont this week for a memorable and inspiring visit. The event was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on our young readers and igniting their passion for literature.

With great enthusiasm and charisma, Phil engaged our students with his vibrant storytelling and contagious love for writing. During the presentation, the children were transported to extraordinary worlds and introduced to memorable characters from some of his most cherished books, including our Belmontians’ firm favourite ‘When the Sky Falls’. He captivated the whole audience with his blend of humour, wit and personal anecdotes which had us all in stitches!

As well as sharing his own experiences and the creative process behind his stories, the interactive session encouraged active participation as our pupils eagerly asked questions and received thoughtful responses that will hopefully, encourage their own storytelling ambitions.

We would like to extend our thanks to Phil for sharing his talent and passion for storytelling with our students. His visit served as a catalyst for our young readers, sparking their imaginations and inspiring many budding writers among them. We are grateful for the opportunity to have hosted such an esteemed author, and we look forward to welcoming more literary figures in the future!

The payment link will remain open until Friday, 16 June 2023 so if you were unable to pay for a copy of the book online, please do so HERE. Once the School Office has received confirmation of payment, your child will be able to come and collect their signed copy.
