B-Fest 2023!

Last Saturday we had the busiest B-Fest that I can remember.  It was amazing to see so many of our current pupils, their families and staff enjoying the huge range of stalls and activities. The food was amazing, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Greek kebab with everything in it; it was lovely to see some of our former Belmont families again. I also had the pleasure of bumping into two former pupils from a previous school who introduced their own families! If it wasn’t for being surrounded by the infectious enthusiasm and joy of our pupils, I would have felt very old. It was also a delight to chat with lots of our new families who will also be joining Belmont in September.

It was a magical day with a wonderful atmosphere, and I can’t thank enough all those involved in organising such a big event. The Operations team at school were brilliant, as was Mr Tongue, but we will be forever grateful to our amazing Friends of Belmont. So many FOB volunteers worked tirelessly to make this event happen and I hope they all feel proud of what they achieved. There are too many parents to mention individually, but special mentions go to Naomi Flash Parsons and Nicole Ratzker for project managing this huge day. As well as bringing past, present and future Belmont communities together, B-Fest also raised an incredible £17,000 that will be split between the school and our nominated charities for this year: Mind, Homeless Action Barnet, Spread a Smile, and Noah’s Ark.
