Saracens Academy Training Session at Mill Hill

As part of our exciting new partnership with Saracens RFC (Rugby and Football Club), which involves becoming their preferred School Pathway, we recently welcomed a group of academy players and their parents to experience a Rugby session at the School.

The afternoon session included a tour of the School, a meet and greet with members of the Rugby staff, and a chance to enjoy a session with current pupils. The experience was made even more special by the presence of Mr Bajak (Head of Performance Rugby at Mill Hill School and Saracens Academy Coach). Bajak’s dual role provides a unique opportunity for academy players to benefit from a joined-up approach to both their education and sporting aspirations.

Reflecting on the experience, Mr Liffchak (Director of Sport) said, “It was a fantastic opportunity for our current pupils to engage with young players who are already on the Saracens pathway. They were able to learn from the academy players and see the level of commitment and dedication required to succeed in the sport.”

In addition to the academy session, Mill Hill School also hosted a community rugby event with U10 players from Finchley RFC and Keble Prep School – one of the seven schools in The Mill Hill School Foundation. The event was designed to mirror the terminology and focus of Mill Hill School 1st XV and Saracens Academy sessions, providing a unique opportunity for young players to experience a professional-level training session.

Mr Liffchak added, “It was great to see the energy and enthusiasm on display from the Finchley/Keble Boys and Girls. We are keen to increase our work in community rugby and have some exciting plans for next year!”

The partnership between Mill Hill School and Saracens RFC is a testament to the commitment of both organisations to developing young talent and promoting the sport of Rugby. With the support of Saracens, Mill Hill School is well-positioned to provide a world-class Rugby education to its pupils while also contributing to the wider Rugby community through community events and the Saracens Foundation.

For Mr Bajak, the partnership represents a unique opportunity to unite two organisations with a shared passion for Rugby. Mr Bajak said, “We are thrilled to partner with Mill Hill School and look forward to working together to develop the next generation of Rugby players. With our shared focus on excellence, I am confident we can achieve great things together.”
