We added a car wash to the children’s outdoor role play area this week. The children loved cleaning everything in sight around the school and it has given them a great purpose to their water play.
The children also explored ice and how it melts with icy dinosaur eggs this week. The children collected the eggs from the freezer then used warm water to melt them. They were amazed at how quickly they melted which allowed the dinosaurs to be free.
Today’s trial day was amazing! The children loved having the best of both worlds. They were able to explore the forest as normal, they got to be messy in the mud kitchen and they also created clay creatures. Then back in the classroom, they took part in some baking, measuring the ingredients and recalling the process to make yummy cupcakes.
