In Maths, we have been focusing on telling the time. The children have learned the vocabulary ‘clockwise and anticlockwise’ and have practised splitting a clockface into quarters and halves. They have also learned to identify ‘o’clock’ times.
This week we have had a focus on Science, the children learned about animals and their differences and similarities. They classified diurnal and nocturnal animals and practised using their senses (other than sight) to help them to comprehend some of the ways nocturnal animals communicate. The children also learned about the ways animals adapt to survive harsh environments, for example, by migrating or hibernating
