A Level Success 2023

In a particularly challenging year for A Level results in the wake of the Covid Pandemic, we are delighted to celebrate the performance of our Upper Sixth pupils. With over a third of all grades at A* or A and over two thirds at A*-B, these results reflect those of 2019 and are a testament to the hard work, determination and resilience of our pupils, their teachers and parents.

Over 20 pupils gained at least three A*/A grades, whilst countless others received an excellent set of results that has opened the door to the next stage of their education. As always, the breadth of courses being pursued by our pupils is impressive, matched only by the range of destinations to which they will be heading.  One notable destination this year is the USA, with a significant number of pupils choosing to continue their studies stateside. The School is equally delighted to celebrate those who have successfully applied for prestigious City apprenticeships.

We wish all our pupils all the very best for the future.

Jane Sanchez, Head said

“I am absolutely delighted with this year’s results. Our Upper Sixth pupils have acquitted themselves particularly well within the context of a challenging educational climate; not only have they been impacted by the Pandemic itself, but they have faced unprecedented challenges relating to a Government drive to return to the 2019 benchmark for examination results, a squeeze on university places and demographic factors relating to a greater number of 18 year olds competing for places than in previous years.

I am incredibly proud of their individual and collective efforts to achieve the grades, skills and attributes to follow their chosen path. They have contributed so much to Mill Hill during their time here and I wish them every success in the future.”
