Congratulations to a formidable quartet from year 6, Victoria, Sienna, Matilda and Anya who represented Southgate Hockey Club at the Broxbourne Young Ladies hockey tournament. Their teamwork was effortless and their skill set was impressive as they scored multiple goals, ensuring each game was won to become overall winners of the tournament. Well done to you all!!!
Congratulations to Oscar and Anya in Year 6. Despite zero-degree weather conditions, the impressive duo played for Barnet Queen Elizabeth RFU at the Saracens Defender Cup tournament. Playing at the Stone X Stadium the team won 5 games and drew 1 leaving them tournament winners. Their final game was played at half time in front of a full-capacity stadium. They both scored several tries, made some try-saving tackles and demonstrated plenty of fantastic teamwork and strength of character!
Well done to Maxwell in 7UA whose poem Refuge has been selected to be published by the Young Writers in two separate books – Words of Hope and In The Shadow Of War. A copy of both books will be stored in the National Archives of the British Library.
