We were thrilled to welcome back the International Bestselling Author Sophie Hannah , to help us celebrate World Book Day! Sophie engaged our Fourth Form and Remove pupils in an insightful and captivating talk, delving into her latest literary masterpiece, “The Double Best Method,” while also shedding light on the intriguing narrative of her bestselling work, “Haven’t They Grown.” The session provided a unique glimpse into the life of an accomplished author, offering valuable insights into the art of decision-making and the journey towards success.

The Double Best Method is Sophie’s strategy for making plans and decisions, enabling readers to make ‘every choice in the best way’. Drawing from her own experiences as a prolific author, she shared anecdotes and insights into the challenges and triumphs of a writing career. Her narrative painted a vivid picture of the dedication and perseverance required to achieve one’s goals, encouraging students to embrace the journey towards success with passion and determination.

To add a special touch to the occasion, each member of the Fourth Form received signed copies of “Haven’t They Grown”. This thoughtful gesture further enhanced the World Book Day celebration, leaving an enduring mark on our pupils’ literary journey.
