“Last week’s Lower School Poetry Recitation final was daunting but buzzing with excitement! The Year 3 finalists were great and next came the fabulous Year 4s. It was then the turn of the experienced Year 5s who all gave confident, entertaining performances. It was soon time for me to perform my choice, “Cakes in the Staffroom” by Brian Moses. When I walked onto the stage to start, I was the centre of attention and everyone in the room was patiently waiting for me to begin. It didn’t feel as scary as I thought it was going to be, but my legs were still shaking! When the winners were announced, everyone clapped and cheered.
