Year 4 and 5 Reading Challenge

We have been delighted to see the efforts of the children in Years 4 and 5 with their enthusiasm and commitment to the Reading Challenge. This second half of the Spring term, congratulations go to the following for reading 10 books, creating their reviews, and being awarded their Reading Challenge badges:

Spring Term 2
Bronze Mae 4BB, Ana 4NH, Madalena 4BB, Tess 4NH
Silver Stella 4KC, Amee 4KC, Madalena 4BB, Arthur 4BB
Gold
Diamond Sofia 5EP, Freddie 5EP
Literacy Award

NB – efforts have been made to ensure that all those who have received badges this term are named above. If your child’s name has been left out, this is an oversight on my part, and I do apologise. Please do contact me and I will ensure that they are recognised next time.

We all enjoyed a busy and exciting Reading Week this term, leaving the children even more inspired to read and immerse themselves in the world of literature. The children thoroughly enjoyed the author visits, suggesting teachers as inspiration for David Walliams’ ‘World Worst Teachers 2’ book, and being inspired and entertained by Jennifer Killick.

After a busy term, I am sure that everyone is ready for the holidays next week. I will certainly be making the most of some extra free time to read over the Easter break as I hope the children do too; what better way to relax and recharge?!
