PSHE - Mill Hill Schools

The PSHE curriculum is based on three core themes; health and wellbeing, relationships and living in the wider world.

Lessons and themes are taught to promote the spiritual, moral and cultural, mental and physical development of pupils at Belmont and of society. This solid foundation prepares pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities, decision-making processes and experiences of later life.

‘PSHE is the subject through which children and young people acquire knowledge, understanding, and skills they need to manage their lives, now and in the future. It develops the qualities and attributes pupils need to thrive as individuals, family members and members of society.’

‘Schools must “promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils at the school and of society, and prepare pupils at the school for the opportunities, responsibilities, and experiences of later life” while having a duty to keep pupils safe.’
