The FOB is Belmont’s Parents’ Association, run by the parents for the parents. It is open to everyone, newcomers and old-timers alike!
The Friends of Belmont has two main goals: social and fundraising. We organise events such as the magical Winter Wonderland, fun-filled Belmont B-Fest and highly competitive Quiz Night, in order to bring together parents, children and teachers in a more informal and relaxed environment. Through these and other events, we’re proud to raise money for relevant local charities and emergency appeals as well as for additional resources for the school. Last year (2016/17) we have supported 2 charities- ‘Children with Cancer UK’ and ‘Grief Encounter’
We rely heavily on help from parents, pupils and staff to make all our events a success. Every class at Belmont has one or two class reps, who help organise class social events and liaise with the FOB. Other parents help with one off events or offer their particular skills to the FOB, be they creative, organisational, IT, financial or just being enthusiastic! Volunteering, whether as a class rep or in some other way is a great way to meet people and to quickly feel part of the school community. So whether you have a couple of hours free for one event or would like a more involved role, we would be delighted to hear from you. There will be a meeting in early September where you will have the chance to find out more.
If you have any questions or comments please do get in touch by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope you and your children will love Belmont as much as we do! We look forward to meeting you all, either at the Induction Day, B-Fest or in September.
All the best,
The FOB team
