New House - Mill Hill Schools

New House

New House was initially built to house the Sanatorium in 1877, most recently transforming from a day house to a Boarding House. We are located off The Ridgeway with our own amazing grounds, overlooking the new Sixth Form Centre and miles of protected parkland with panoramic views towards the West End of London.

It was a very exciting time for us when we moved to New House with the House having just been fully refurbished in 2017. New House is the smallest of the Boarding Houses, and has room for twenty-six junior and senior girls, all of whom have study bedrooms. Fourth Form and Lower School pupils are allocated to rooms of two or three. The Sixth Form have larger study bedrooms, shared between two in the first year then they may be allocated a single room for their final year.

We are lucky to have a large common room area with TV and DVD player, a smaller quiet room and a separate study room where junior girls will do Prep in the evenings. In addition, there is a kitchen with a cooker, kettle, sandwich toaster, microwave and refrigerator, so that tea, coffee and snacks can be made at set times. The gardens are large enough in which to play badminton and volleyball during the summer months.

Along with my amazing House team, husband Ram and daughter Barsha you will be assured of a warm and friendly welcome. Our aim in New House is to ensure that every girl feels that she belongs to somewhere special and is encouraged and supported in fulfilling their full potential.
