Grimsdell - Admissions

Grimsdell is a co-educational Pre-Prep School for children aged 3-7. Entry is available at 3+ (Nursery) and 4+ (Reception)

3+ and 4+ Entry 2019

Registration for 3+ and 4+ entrance for September 2019 is still open; however, as our initial registration list is now oversubscribed (first 70 children to register are placed on the initial registration list. All children on the initial registration list are invited for an interview) we are unable to guarantee that your children will be invited in for an assessment and will be placed on our reserve registration list.

All children placed on the reserve registration list for 3+ 2019, prior to the commencement of the 3+ assessments, who are not invited for an assessment will certainly be considered for 4+ 2020 for an informal interview.

Entry into Grimsdell Pre-Prep

There are two main points of entry into the School: 3+ (Nursery) and 4+ (Reception). Occasionally there are places available in other years – these are called ‘Chance Vacancies’.

When choosing a school we strongly advise all parents and prospective pupils to pay a personal visit to the School at one of our regular open mornings so that they can see the School’s facilities and meet the members of staff and current pupils.

Register your child

Offers for our 32 part time Nursery places will be made shortly after our interviews in November of the year before entry. Places for our Reception classes will be offered in February after our interview process has taken place during the month of January. There are approximately 20 places available in Reception.

Children on our initial registration list will be invited to take part in a half hour activity session and interview. Priority for places is given to suitable siblings.

Interview and Activity Session

  • 30 minute session with the whole family
  • Child participates in activities with the Class Teacher
