International Partnerships

To celebrate the millennium in 2000 the Headmaster at the time encouraged pupils to take a wider world view with the formation of three partnerships in East Africa, Tamil Nadu, South India and Nicaragua, Central America.

The aims of the partnerships were:

  • To develop understanding of different people and cultures
  • To encourage self-reliance and confidence
  • To give a focus for school-wide fundraising
  • To enable pupils to travel and work with children in developing countries

Over the years the School has continued to develop the International Partnerships schemes, while adjusting our link schools as circumstances have changed. We currently work closely with partnership projects in Tamil Nadu, Zambia and continue to support the project in Nicaragua.
