Mill Hill – McClure Music School

The big project during academic year 2018-19 will be the refurbishment of the McClure Music School which was opened in 1912 and named in honour of Sir John McClure the Headmaster of Mill Hill School and himself an accomplished musician and composer of classical music.

This has meant that the desperately needed replacement of the heating system has already taken place ensuring that if this winter music-making will not be compromised by the inability of violinists to feel their fingers and similar problems for others.  Perhaps more exciting than this however is that the School’s inspirational music staff led by Kevin Kyle are in consultation with the designers about exactly what the “new” McClure Music School will look like.

There are all kinds of opportunities for music lovers to support our fantastic music whether through the sponsorship of individual practice rooms in the McClure Music School, new instruments, music or performance-related items and hymnbooks in the Chapel.  Click here for more information.

In addition to the Music School refurbishment, our fundraising at Mill Hill supports activities and projects in many different areas in our historic buildings and across our beautiful estate.
