This week, the School has been abuzz with keen and eager Year 8 boys and girls from Belmont and a large number of other prep schools who have presented themselves to compete for a wide variety of Scholarships and Exhibitions. These Awards are available to upcoming Fourth Form entrants for: academic excellence across the curriculum or in a preferred subject; for creativity in Art or Design Technology; for performance skills in Drama or Music; for prowess and endeavour in Sport.
We are delighted that so many young people have had the confidence and courage to step up to an intense round of interviews and written or practical assessments. The standard has been extremely high and we shall look forward to making a substantial number of Awards for September 2018 entry. Not to be outdone, our current Music Scholars kicked off the week with a first-rate concert on Monday evening.
