In addition to our normal menu, today Belmont pupils were treated with a very special Butternut Squash tasting table so that they could try squash in a variety of different ways, savoury or sweet!
The pupils could try a roasted butternut squash soup, a butternut squash rice salad with feta and pomegranate, roasted butternut squash with garlic and cumin and a very special butternut squash cake with cream cheese icing!
The pupils were all very intrigued by the huge array of options and there were smiles of delight and lots of thumbs up as they tasted the different options. Unsurprisingly, the butternut squash cake with cream cheese icing was by far the most popular!
