Boarding Update
Ridgeway
Written by Binay S
Last Saturday, Ridgeway participated in the inter-house volleyball competition and finished in second place. The team players were Binay (team captain), Kiyan, Taha, Arash, Sarp, Dara, Parmida and Sahar. The games were an exciting challenge as all houses selected their best players and everyone performed exceptionally well.
Last Sunday, the first team Ridgeway rugby players Charles, Alex, Malakai, Harry and Henry took part in the 7s competition. Charles delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament and was named Player of the Tournament.
On Tuesday, Jaime, Jule and Ife prepared oxtail tacos in the kitchen and shared them with other house members, reflecting the friendly environment that Ridgeway encourages among all its residents.
Collinson
This week was busy and exciting for Collinson House. We took part in volleyball, basketball and a spelling bee. Everyone represented our house with pride and tried their very best while enjoying evenings together with housemates.
The volleyball matches were competitive and full of fun. Our team was Roman, Kirill, Ishan, Kirill, Efe, Charles, Kevin and Eymen. They worked well together and supported one another throughout the game. They tried hard to save difficult balls and stayed focused until the end. Even though we played well, the other houses won the matches.
Basketball was just as intense, with quick passes, great shots and strong defence from all teams. Collinson showed good teamwork and never gave up even when the games became challenging. We won with a great score of 40 to 19 thanks to Frank, Efe, Andy, Casra and Datis.
The spelling bee was a different kind of competition. Our participants were Maj, Ishan, Roman and Kevin. It tested memory, spelling skills and confidence. They spoke clearly and tried their best against Burton Bank. Although we did not win, they should be proud of their effort and bravery.
Macgregor

Over the past two weeks, there have been many activities in Macgregor after a relaxed half-term break. There was an inter-house volleyball competition, but only two girls from Macgregor were able to participate as we have a small number of students in the house.
On Saturday night, Ms Justice organised a fun boarding games evening which everyone enjoyed as a chance to relax and spend time together. We also celebrated March birthdays. The girls have begun preparing for the upcoming Six Miles Cup, training in the evenings by running around the school to build their stamina.
Burton Bank

The past two weeks in Burton Bank have been quite eventful. One of the biggest changes was the adjustment to our prep time. Previously, prep ran from 18:30 to 20:00 but it has now changed to 18:00 to 20:00. While this gives us more time to study, many students in the house are not very happy about the earlier start.
The following day, our school welcomed visitors for the Tadlor Tour. Representatives from a magazine visited the school to see what life is like here, including a tour of our boarding house.
Later in the week, we had the school spelling bee where students competed to show off their spelling skills. It was a fun event and great to see everyone getting involved.
One sad moment for Burton Bank was saying goodbye to one of our pupils, Alex, who returned to Spain. He will be greatly missed by everyone in the house.
On Saturday, we won the house volleyball competition which brought lots of energy and teamwork as students competed against one another.
The following Monday, the Upper Sixth students had their leavers photo taken, marking an important moment as they prepare to leave school soon.
Finally, on Wednesday, we had a basketball competition against Collinson. It was an exciting match and a great way to end a busy couple of weeks in Burton Bank.
