- Celebrating 50 Years of Women at Mill Hill: Edie W

Meet Edie
As we continue to mark 50 Years of Women at Mill Hill, this month, we’re proud to highlight Edie W (Atkinson), our Head Girl, who is thriving in Year 13 and dominating Mill Hill School life, from Academics to Sport!
Studying Biology, Maths and Geography, while also representing the School on the Hockey field, Edie started her Mill Hill Journey at Belmont and has been demonstrating Excellence throughout her years here.
We spoke to Edie about which teacher inspire her at Mill Hill, what advice she would give to younger girls and what it feels like to be in a Girls Hockey Team.
Which Teachers inspire you at Mill Hill?
My geography teacher Mrs Ball who is also part of the Hockey Team. she is amazing and has always been there to listen when I have a problem
Also my House Master Mr Bingham he is so welcoming and there for all of us.
What advice would you give to girls in younger years?
Make sure to get involved in everything. You don’t know what you are good at until you try it, there is something for everyone.
What does it mean to be in a girls hockey team?
Being in a girls hockey team has been such a lovely experience, we are all such good friends from it and it is very enjoyable. When school gets stressful, it is a nice break and everyone is so supportive of each other. We win together, we lose together.
