- Mill Hill Enrichment Week 2025

Enrichment Week came back to Mill Hill this week, and it was bigger and better than ever before!
No fewer than fifteen deep dives took place over the four days, with, once again, a stunning array of academic enrichment opportunities, ranging from enticing linguistic gastronomy and film studies to celebrate French and German culture, through thought-provoking reflections on humanity at the British Museum, St. Pauls and the Imperial War Museum to high-energy sport science experiences at the home of elite UK sport at Loughborough University.

Design and computing pupils built and programmed stunning pinball machines, in a Model United Nations event pupils contemplated how to protect their country from alien invasion and English pupils adventured into the world of fantasy, pitching their own stories to a guest author.

Artists were inspired by work in the Saatchi and Serpentine Galleries to produce their own pieces, biologists studied and learned surgical techniques while physicists explored the science of space and flight both in Mill Hill and further afield.

Not to be outdone, pupils were inspired by the Bletchley mathematicians to apply their own critical thinking to codebreaking, business pupils had the amazing opportunity to present business plans to Kettering Town Football Club and chemists dived into the science of perfumery and food, whilst still finding time to deliver science lessons to Year 5 visiting pupils.

Finally, music and drama pupils explored puppetry and physical theatre and created original scores as they produced their own dramatic performance, and digital media and IT pupils developed their cinematic crafts to create short films.

After such a challenging, inspirational and busy week it's safe to say that our pupils will certainly be ready for some rest and relaxation come the summer break!
