French Exchange
This terms some of our pupils embarked on a hugely successful exchange with our partner school, Jean Paul II in Rouen.
Led by Mr Norbury and Ms Fernandez Rodriguez, a group of Remove and Fourth Form boys spent a week fully immersed in French life by staying with real French families who welcomed them into their homes.
The programme was packed with memorable day trips: exploring the colourful harbour at Dieppe, taking in the iconic sights of Paris, and spending time at the moving Omaha Beach and American Cemetery in Normandy. Each experience gave pupils a deeper understanding of French culture, history and language, as well as a broader perspective on the world around them.
By navigating new cities, using their French in real situations, bonding with their exchange partners and trying plenty of local food, the boys grew in confidence, independence and curiosity. It was a fun, eye-opening adventure that they will remember for a long time.
The exchange will be back next year, and will be open to all current Fourth-Form pupils.
