House Cross Country

The House Cross Country competition provided a fantastic start to this year’s programme of House events, with pupils from across the school demonstrating determination, resilience and plenty of House spirit as they took on a challenging 3km course around the school grounds.

Blessed with warm weather and enthusiastic support from staff and fellow pupils, competitors tackled the hilly route with energy and commitment. From the starting whistle to the final sprint for the finish line, every participant should be congratulated for their effort and sportsmanship throughout a closely contested event.

The competition showcased not only impressive athletic performances but also the sense of camaraderie that lies at the heart of House competitions. Pupils encouraged one another throughout the race, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere while representing their Houses with pride.

Congratulations to this year’s individual year group winners:

4th Form:

  • Amber K (Murray)
  • Louis S (School)

Remove:

  • Capree A-C (Cedars)
  • Kai S (Murray)

Seniors:

  • Martina B (Cedars)
  • Roman R (Collinson)

The event marked the first House competition of the academic year and has set a high standard for the many exciting challenges still to come.

Cross country remains a popular activity within the school, with the Cross Country Club meeting every Thursday lunchtime. Pupils have the opportunity to develop their fitness, improve their race technique and compete in both team and individual competitions throughout the year.

Well done to all who took part. We look forward to seeing our runners back on the course and continuing to build on their success in future competitions.
