- Mill Hill Golf Team Reaches National Final

Mill Hill School’s golf programme has reached an exciting new milestone this season, with the school’s team qualifying for the prestigious Swifts Golf National Finals, an outstanding achievement that reflects the rapid development of golf at Mill Hill.
The journey to the national stage began with a dominant performance in the regional group, where Mill Hill topped the table ahead of strong competition from Westminster, St Paul’s, John Lyon and Harrow. This success secured their place among the top 13 school teams in the country, earning a place at the National Finals held over three days at Frilford Heath Golf Club.The finals presented a tough opening challenge, with Mill Hill drawn against the current national champions, Reed’s School. Despite a determined effort, Mill Hill were defeated 3–0, with Reed’s going on to retain their national title.
Dropping into the Plate competition, the team faced Worth School. The opening pair of Amirali J and Nathan H delivered an impressive and convincing win, securing Mill Hill’s first national points. However, despite strong performances, the remaining matches narrowly went against them, resulting in a 2–1 loss.Reaching the National Finals marks a significant step forward for golf at Mill Hill, highlighting both the progress of the programme and the commitment of its players. Mykhail M, Zico M, Ben J and Luis competed with determination throughout and represented the school with pride. This success has been supported by the school’s growing golf initiative, including its partnership with Finchley Golf Club and weekly coaching from PGA professional Craig Normansell.
These opportunities have played a key role in elevating the standard of play and creating a pathway for continued development. With a young and motivated squad, the experience gained this year provides a strong foundation for the future. Mill Hill golf is clearly on the rise, and with this group set to return next season, there is every reason to believe that even greater achievements lie ahead.
