  • Mill Hill School Record Breaking GCSE Results 2025
August 21, 2025

We are thrilled to share our record-breaking 2025 GCSE results, which underline the rapid academic improvement at Mill Hill and are a testament to the hard-work and talent of our pupils and teachers alike.

This Fifth Form (Year 11) cohort have done brilliantly and we couldn’t be more excited for them as they begin their Sixth Form journey.

Although the 2024 GCSE results showed improvement across the board, they didn’t match the double-digit leaps we made at A Level last year. This year, as expected, the GCSE headlines have caught up. The overall picture is of a step-change in academic rigour and ambition at Mill Hill in the last two years, with results now highly competitive and in-line with other leading schools in London and around the UK.

A breakdown of GCSE headline results can be seen here (Covid years removed).

Some particular highlights to mention from this year are:

  • Fourteen pupils achieved ten grades 9/8
  • A further fourteen achieved nine grades 9/8
  • In a number of subjects, over 40% of grades were 9/8 – these include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, Geography, Religious Studies, French, German, Art, Design Technology, PE, IT and English
  • In English, History, Religious Studies and all three sciences, c.90% of results were ‘high grades’ of 9-7

Mr Huddleston, Deputy Head Academic, commented: “It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with this outstanding group of pupils and their families over the last three years. They joined the school at the same time as me, and we have come up together. They have huge talent and potential, as can be seen from these very impressive results. I can’t wait to see what they can achieve at A Level.”

Mr Benson, Head, said of the results: “I couldn’t be more proud of these pupils, and the teachers who have challenged and supported them all the way. I also want to thank their parents who have worked so closely with us as we moved through Year 11.

Mill Hill’s improved results at both GCSE and A Level speak for themselves. The school now combines real academic strength with the wider offer we’ve always been known for. This will only get better from here, and we have the strongest possible platform on which to build.”
